PWHL Game Preview: Toronto Sceptres at Boston Fleet | 01/22/2025

After a month-plus road trip, the Boston Fleet are back at home against the Toronto Sceptres. The Fleet and Sceptres are between a one-point difference, Boston with 12 and Toronto with 11. The Fleet went 2-4 on their road trip. On Saturday, they finally won their first game against Ottawa as the away team.

Toronto Sceptres (3-0-2-5) at Boston Fleet (2-2-2-4)
Venue: Tsongas Center
Date: Wednesday, January 22nd
Time: 7:00 p.m. EST

Where to Watch:
Boston-NESN
Toronto-TSN

***The game will be available on YouTube to viewers outside of Canada***

Boston Fleet Notes:

The Fleet are still sitting at fifth in the league after a disappointing road trip. They go back on the road again shortly after Wednesday. Hannah Bilka and Hilary Knight are still putting up good numbers for Boston, and Aerin Frankel’s performance between the pipes is the only thing keeping this playoff race close at the moment.

Toronto Sceptres Notes:

The Sceptres had a big win over New York on Tuesday, but will it be enough to keep the momentum going? A tilt between Boston and Toronto is always exciting. Toronto knows how to handle the physicality Boston is known for. Last season, Toronto had a slow start like this one, but it seems to be lasting longer this time around. Kristen Campbell is 2-4 on the season with a 0.891 save percentage and a 2.85 GAA. Toronto has been without their star forward, Natalie Spooner, with no word on her return.
