The Boston Fleet hosted the Toronto Sceptres in their first game from the international break on Saturday afternoon. The Fleet announced before the game that Alina Muller went to LTIR and rookie Hannah Bilka was activated and ready to go, along with some other transactions. Through the rollercoaster of emotions, the Fleet were locked and loaded and came out on top with a final score of 3-0, goalie Klára Peslarová getting a shutout in her first career PWHL start.

Lexie Adzija opened scoring with a goal worked around behind the net off a pass from Jamie Lee Rattray on the team’s first shot, just 2:35 into the game.

Hannah Brandt extended the lead to 2-0 by sneaking in a backhanded shot from the top of the crease at 11:47. A highlight reel pass from Megan Keller set up this one.

Theresa Schafzahl rounded out the scoring by capitalizing on a pass from Rattray (her second assist of the game) on a power play rush with just six seconds remaining in the second period.

The third period was scoreless for both teams, and Boston took this game from Toronto, building momentum to clinch that second playoff spot. Peslarová has stopped every shot she has faced in the PWHL (with some help from oranges and egg Benedict, iykyk), and with Aerin Frankel out on concussion protocol, she could be seeing more reps and shots in the future.

The Boston Fleet are back in action on Monday night against Montreal, and then they will face off at home for one final time this regular season on May 3.
