While it slightly flew under the radar, Kevin Cheveldayoff was able to sign the 23-year-old Kupari to a two-year deal. Worth an average-annual value of $1 million, Kupari is guaranteed the money on this contract as it is a one-way deal. Something also worth noting is that Kupari will be a restricted free agent when his new deal expires at the end of the 2024-25 season.

The Kotka, Finland native was selected 20th overall in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings Kupari wouldn’t find himself a chance with the LA Kings until the 2020-21 season. However, Kupari would spend the majority of the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons with the LA Kings, where he provided strong depth for the team.
