The Boston Bruins have announced on Monday that they have acquired Ottawa Senators defenseman Josh Brown and a conditional 2022 seventh-round pick for minor-league forward Zach Senyshyn and a 2022 fifth-round pick.
The 28-year-old Brown is a right-shot defenseman who was a sixth-round pick in 2013. The 6’5 217 pounds Brown has six assists in 46 games and should provide size and depth to the Bruins defensive corps. Senyshyn was a 2015 first-round pick (15th overall) who has been playing for the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League. Senyshyn has played just 14 career NHL games.
