The New Jersey Devils have acquired goaltender Andrew Hammond from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for minor-league forward Nate Schnarr.
Hammond was 3-0 with a 2.40 goals-against average and .920 save percentage with Montreal. The Canadiens obtained the 34-year-old netminder from Minnesota on February 12th.
Schnarr was a third-round pick (75th overall) by the Arizona Coyotes in the 2017 NHL Draft. The Waterloo, Ontario native has played 43 games with Utica in the American Hockey League and registered 13 goals and 13 assists this season.
