Rumor: Canucks Circling in on Luke Schenn

Rumors are swirling that the Vancouver Canucks might be on the verge of reacquiring veteran d-man Luke Schenn. It’s an exciting development considering they traded him away just before last year’s trade deadline in exchange for a 3rd round pick. However, it seems that the Canucks are keen on bringing him back into the fold.

At thirty-three years old, Schenn is a seasoned player with a knack for playing the right side. He would be an excellent fit for the Canucks’ third pairing, as fans and management believe he possesses the skills to handle top-end responsibilities. He could be paired up with Quinn Hughes on the top pairing in a pinch, showcasing his versatility and adaptability.

During the last season, Schenn showcased his abilities by participating in a solid 70 games. Despite playing for a struggling defensive team like the Canucks and 11 games with the Maple Leafs, he contributed 22 points and achieved a respectable +8 rating. These performances have caught the attention of many, and it’s believed that Schenn still has considerable upside.

Considering his experience and potential, it is anticipated that Schenn could secure a two-year contract. If the rumors hold, the deal’s financial details fall within $1.5-2 million dollars. Such an agreement would reflect his value to the team and the Canucks’ desire to bolster their defensive lineup.

As the talks of Luke Schenn‘s potential return to the Vancouver Canucks intensify, fans and experts eagerly await the outcome. Will the deal be finalized, and will Schenn prove to be the missing piece in the Canucks’ defensive puzzle? Do you think this would be a good deal for the Canucks and Schenn?
