With the upcoming game against the Florida Everblades, the Savannah Ghost Pirates have confirmed two moves for tonight. They activated Kyle Jeffers from reserves and placed Alex Swelikoff on reverses. We are still waiting to hear if Jesper Vikman is still out ill, as he previously did not travel to Florida with the team for Wednesday’s game.
Kyle Jeffers, a 25-year-old right-handed Forward, started their professional career with the Ghost Pirates in February and has played nine games with three goals and two assists. Kyle was previously in the NCAA bracket with Lindenwood University, playing 79 games, 25 goals, and 42 assists.
Alex Swelikoff heads to the Reserves list for the game against Florida on 3/22/24, which may be a good idea. Wednesday, March 20th, the game saw emotions high, leading to a scrum between Alex Swetlikoff and Florida’s Sean Josling in the first period. Alex spent five minutes in the Sin Bin for that offense, only to visit again for two minutes when he hooked Florida’s Joe Pendenza in the third period. Alex has spent time between AHL’s Henderson Silver Knights and the Ghost Pirates. He’s got 19 games in Henderson with three goals and no assists; during that time, he completed 24 games with eight goals and 13 assists.
Eastern Conference 13th-ranked Savannah meets with 5th-ranked Florida on Friday and Saturday nights, the puck drops at 7 pm.
