Seattle Kraken Acquire Mason Marchment From Dallas Stars

The Seattle Kraken failed to make the Stanley Cup playoffs for the second straight season and the third season in their four-year existence. Tonight they made a trade that will hopefully change their misfortune as they acquired forward Mason Marchment from the Dallas Stars. The Kraken are sending a 2025 fourth-round draft pick and a 2026 third-round draft pick for Marchment. The trade comes after the Stars locked up forward Matt Duchene to a contract extension today. Dallas is not retaining any money from the Marchment contract so that will free up some cap space for the Stars.

Marchment played in 62 games this season, recording 47 points on 22 goals and 25 assists. He was a +15 and had ten power-play points.
