Seattle Kraken Roster Moves 10/19

The Seattle Kraken are off to a rough start following a trip to the Stanley Cup playoffs last season and are still looking for their first win of the 2023-24 season. Tonight will be a tough matchup for them as they will take on the Carolina Hurricanes, who are 3-1-0 to start the year. The Kraken have one point, which came in a shootout loss to the St. Louis Blues last Saturday; the three regulation losses have come against the Vegas Golden Knights, Nashville Predators, and Colorado Avalanche. In tonight’s matchup, the Kraken will have Joey Daccord in the net against Anti Raanta for Carolina. Daccord is making his second start of the season; in his first start, he took the overtime loss to the Blues, stopping 24 of the 25 shots he faced. Before tonight’s game, the Kraken called up Devin Shore from the Coachella Valley Firebirds of the AHL in a move that was expected, with Brandon Tanev being out for tonight’s game and for some time.

Devin Shore By The Numbers

Shore has played in 422 career games and recorded 135 points on 50 goals and 85 assists; he has played for the Dallas Stars, Anaheim Ducks, Columbus Blue Jackets, Edmonton Oilers, and tonight the Kraken. Last season with the Oilers, he played in 47 games and recorded just nine points, coming on one goal and eight assists; he was a plus-six last season. This season with the Firebirds, he has played in one game, didn’t register a point, and finished the game as a -1.
