Team Finland has released their preliminary Olympic rosters, and Sebastian Aho has made the cut.

The Finnish center has been a vital part of the Carolina Hurricanes since his draft in 2015 (35th overall). Aho has represented Team Finland in international play both at the junior and elite level, with the most recent being at the Four Nations faceoff in February.

During the 2024-2025 season, Aho scored seventy-nine points, with 29 goals and 45 assists. In 677 games played for his NHL career, he has 283 goals, 348 assists, and 631 points. At the age of 27, Aho has surpassed several Canes records, such as most game-winning goals in Hurricanes/Whalers franchise history, and is third all-time for goals, assists, and points.

He is also one of the team’s associate captains, wearing the A for road games.

Sebastian Aho will be reunited with childhood friend and former Hurricane Mikko Rantanen, who also appeared for Team Finland at the Four Nations tournament. Aho had two assists at the tournament, where Finland placed third.

The men’s hockey tournament at the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympic Games will be held from February 11, 2026, to February 22, 2026.
