Peoria Rivermen racked up 25 minutes of penalties in this period alone, including a 10-minute misconduct for Tristan Trudel. Other penalties included tripping, verbal abuse of an official, roughing, cross-checking, and boarding. Both teams had 8 shots on goal, and Macon also faced penalties for roughing and slashing. Peoria responded quickly with Alec Baer’s game-winning goal at 0:44, assisted by Frank Trazzera and Jordan Ernst.
