SPHL: Jack Jaunich Named Player of the Week (11/25-12/01/2024)

Jack Jaunich of the Huntsville Havoc was named the Warrior SPHL Player of the Week for November 25 to December 1, 2024, thanks to his outstanding performance. Jaunich scored two goals, including one game-winner, and added six assists, helping the Havoc earn five out of six possible points over the Thanksgiving holiday. His contributions were crucial in Huntsville’s victories, including a pivotal game where he broke a 1-1 tie with Pensacola by scoring two goals in the third period. Jaunich also assisted on three consecutive goals in a comeback effort against Birmingham and closed the week with two more assists in a win over the Bulls.

In his second season with the Havoc, Jaunich is making quite an impression. Currently, the White Bear Lake, MN native is tied for third in points (16), tied for power play assists with six, and has 60 shots on goal.

Before turning professional, Jaunich showcased his skills over four years at Aurora University. During his senior season, he earned numerous accolades, including being named to the NCAA III (AHCA) Second Team All-American (West), the NCAA III (All-USCHO) Second Team, and the NCAA III (NCHA) All-Conference Team, highlighting his exceptional performance and dedication to the sport.

Jaunich is known for his dynamic and versatile playing style. As a forward, he combines speed, agility, and a keen sense of positioning to create scoring opportunities both for himself and his teammates. His ability to read the game allows him to make smart plays and effective passes, which is evident from his high assist count. Jaunich’s quick release and accurate shot make him a constant threat in the offensive zone, particularly on the power play where he excels at finding open spaces and capitalizing on chances.

Defensively, Jaunich is reliable and responsible, often contributing to his team’s efforts to regain possession and transition quickly to offense. His work ethic and determination are key aspects of his game, enabling him to perform consistently at a high level. This combination of offensive prowess and defensive reliability makes Jaunich a well-rounded player and a valuable asset to the Huntsville Havoc.
