SPHL: Macon Mayhem Welcome New Rookie Duo

The Macon Mayhem announced on Friday the signing of two talented rookies, Brandon Reller and Declan Graham, who will be joining the team for the upcoming 2024-25 season.

Brandon Reller, a 21-year-old forward hailing from Hanover, Minnesota, is gearing up to make his professional debut this season. Reller has accumulated valuable experience over the past three seasons in the NAHL, where he played for the Bismarck Bobcats and the Oklahoma Warriors. During his time in the NAHL, he showcased his scoring ability by accumulating a total of 40 points, which includes 17 goals and 23 assists, across 94 career games. Additionally, Reller has a background in the WHL, where he played for the Spokane Chiefs. There, he had the opportunity to play alongside notable NHL prospects like Berkly Catton and Ty Cheveldayoff. While with the Chiefs, Reller contributed eight points, comprising five goals and three assists, in 49 games.

Keller earned the title of Bantam AA state champion in 2018 while playing for Osseo-Maple Grove. He also took part in USA Hockey’s Select 15 and Select 16 camps in 2018 and 2019, respectively. While with Team Forest at the Select 16 camp, he tallied two goals and one assist over the course of five games.

Declan Graham is a 25-year-old defenseman from Etobicoke, Ontario, is also looking forward to making his professional debut this season. In addition, he earned the title of Hawk Shop Laurier Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 14, 2024. Graham, a biochemistry and biotechnology major, was instrumental in Laurier’s achievement as the Golden Hawks emerged victorious in the northern series, earning him that recognition. Each of these honors celebrate student-athletes who excelled academically while participating in university sports across Canada.

Before embarking on his collegiate career, Graham spent four years with the Steinbach Pistons in the MJHL, where he excelled and tallied an impressive 105 points, consisting of 14 goals and 91 assists, over the course of 222 games. Graham’s hockey journey also includes time with the Toronto Marlboros U16 AAA team.

Reller and Graham bring a wealth of promising talent and potential to the Macon Mayhem. The Mayhem kick off their season at the Macon Coliseum on October 19th, facing off against the Birmingham Bulls at home.
