The Macon Mayhem announced Monday that forward Dan Winslow has re-signed with the team for the 2024-25 season.

Winslow, a 27-year-old athlete hailing from Fairfield, Connecticut, is set to kick off his second season with the Mayhem, following a promising inaugural full season in professional hockey last year. During that season, he demonstrated his skills on the ice by accumulating a total of 20 points, which included one goal and an impressive 19 assists across 48 games. Before transitioning to the professional level, Winslow dedicated four years to honing his abilities at the NCAA Division I institution, Quinnipiac University. While there, he participated in 28 games, where he managed to score four goals and contributed one assist to his team. His commitment to both academics and athletics did not go unnoticed; he was honored as a two-time member of the ECAC Hockey All-Academic Team, being recognized for his achievements during the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons.

Following his time at Quinnipiac, Winslow transitioned to the University of New England, competing in NCAA Division III. This move greatly contributed to his growth as a player, as he thrived there, averaging a point per game. During his first season while pursuing a graduate degree, Winslow accumulated 28 points (14 goals, 14 assists) in 28 games. In his final year as a Nor’easter, he achieved 30 points (17 goals, 13 assists) in 30 games, proudly donning the captain’s ‘C’.

Before joining college hockey, Winslow spent two seasons with the New Jersey Hitmen in the NCDC, where he held the position of captain during the 2017-18 season. He recorded 30 points, including nine goals and 21 assists, over 36 games, and contributed six points in the playoffs. His outstanding performance earned him an All-Star selection. Previously, he scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists for 27 points in 43 games at the USPHL Premier level. A graduate of Avon Old Farms in 2016, Winslow accumulated 37 points from 20 goals and 17 assists in 77 games during his three-year career, highlighted by a notable 2014-15 season with 12 goals and 20 points.

The Mayhem officially begin their season at the Macon Coliseum on October 19th, facing off against the Birmingham Bulls at home.
