
The Florida Panthers have agreed to terms with forward Wilmer Skoog and defenseman Tobias Björnfot, who each signed a one-year, two-way contract. Both Skoog and Björnfot played for the AHL Eastern Conference Champion Charlotte Checkers.
Skoog in 72 games, recorded 24 points on nine goals and 15 assists. He was a minus-ten with three power-play goals, two game-winning goals, and 63 penalty minutes. In 18 playoff games, he had seven points on four goals and three assists. He was a plus-five with a power-play goal, a game-winning goal, and ten penalty minutes. Björnfot played in 14 games with the Panthers but didn’t record a point; he was a minus-three with two penalty minutes. In 50 games with the Checkers, he had 18 points on three goals and 15 assists. He was a plus-six with a power-play goal and 24 penalty minutes. In 14 Calder Cup Playoff games, he had seven points on two goals and five assists. He was a +11 with 14 penalty minutes.

Wilmer Skoog
Skoog spent four seasons at Boston University, playing in 103 games, recording 76 points on 40 goals and 36 assists. He was a +16 with eight power-play goals, eight game-winning goals, and 70 penalty minutes. In 2023-24, he joined the Panthers organization, playing in 49 games for the Checkers. Skoog had 31 points on 22 goals and nine assists. He was a plus-three with eight power-play goals, four game-winning goals, and 12 penalty minutes. In three playoff games that season, he was held pointless. He also played in 20 games with the Florida Everblades of the ECHL. Skoog had eight points on two goals and six assists. He was a minus-one with six penalty minutes.
Tobias Björnfot
Björnfot has appeared in 117 career NHL games. He’s spent time with the Panthers, Los Angeles Kings, and Vegas Golden Knights. He has 15 points on a goal and 14 assists. Björnfot is a -23 with 30 penalty minutes. In 159 career AHL games, he has 49 points on 14 goals and 35 assists. He is a +14 with four power-play goals, four game-winning goals, and 52 penalty minutes.
