The Toronto Maple Leafs Trade Ryan Reaves to San Jose Sharks for Henry Thrun

The Toronto Maple Leafs and San Jose Sharks agreed to a trade late tonight that would send forward Ryan Reaves to the San Jose Sharks. The Sharks in return are sending defenseman Henry Thrun to the Maple Leafs. The Sharks have an enforcer for the 2025-26 season.

Ryan Reaves

The St. Louis Blues drafted Reaves with the 156th overall pick. Reaves in 35 games for Toronto this season recorded two assists. He was a minus-two with 28 penalty minutes. In 912 career NHL games, he recorded 137 points on 63 goals and 74 assists. Reaves has three career power-play goals more so known as an enforcer, he has 1,100 career penalty minutes. 

Henry Thrun 

The Anaheim Ducks drafted Thrun 101st overall in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. Thrun in 60 games this season recorded 12 points on two goals and ten assists. He was a -23 with 30 penalty minutes. The 24-year-old defenseman has played in 119 games over his young career. Thrun has 25 points on five goals and ten assists. He was a -48 with four power-play points, two of which have come via goals. He has 46 penalty minutes over his three seasons with the Sharks.
