The Anaheim Ducks are coming off a 2-1 win over the Dallas Stars on Tuesday a much-needed win that keeps them in the playoff hunt. They next play the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday before heading into the Four Nations break. Despite them still being in the playoff conversation sitting seven points out they’ve made one of their top forwards available for trade. It was announced tonight that reportedly Trevor Zegras has been made available for trade.

Trevor Zegras
The Anaheim Ducks drafted Zegras ninth overall in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. He made his debut on February 22, 2021. Zegras would record his first career NHL point on March 3, 2021. He would score his first career NHL goal on March 18, 2021. Zegras went on to finish that 2021 season playing in 24 games. He would record 13 points on three goals and ten assists. In his first full season, he went on to play in 75 games. He would record 61 points on 23 goals and 38 assists. He finished second in the Calder Memorial Trophy voting that season. Zegras lost to Moritz Seider of the Red Wings.
In 242 career games Zegras has recorded 169 points on 61 goals and 108 assists. Zegras this season in 31 games he’s recorded 15 points on six goals and nine assists. Zegras is infamous for performing “The Michigan” and has blossomed into one of the Ducks’ top players.
Bottom Line:
Putting Zegras out as a name to watch is interesting. A trade for Zegras seem more likely to happen in the offseason. Teams to watch are the young teams such as the Detroit Red Wings, Ottawa Senators, New Jersey Devils, and Columbus Blue Jackets.
