Two Providence Bruins Forwards Sign Elsewhere

Late last night, as free agency continued, two former Boston/Providence Bruins signed contracts with other teams. Forward Vinni Lettieri signed a one-year one-way contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs. The AAV is $775K. Forward Tyler Pitlick signed a two-year two-way contract with the Minnesota Wild with an AAV $775K.

Lettieri this season in 47 games with Providence had 50 points on 21 goals and 29 assists. He was a minus-one. He finished second on the team in points, tied for the team lead in goals, and tied for second in assists. Lettieri also played in 26 games for the Boston Bruins, recording five points on three goals and two assists. He was a minus-nine. In eight Calder Cup Playoff games, he had seven points on three goals and four assists, but finished as a minus-five. Pitlick played in 59 games for Providence, recording 46 points on 21 goals and 25 assists; he was a +17. Pitlick finished tied for third on the team in points, tied for the team lead in goals, and fifth in assists. In seven playoff games, he had just one goal and was a minus-one.

Vinni Lettieri

Lettieri has appeared in 155 career NHL games playing with four different teams. He has 32 points on 15 goals and 17 assists. He is a -47 with eight power-play points. In 324 career AHL games, he has 287 points on 141 goals and 146 assists. He is a -26 with 181 penalty minutes and 51 power-play goals. In 15 Calder Cup Playoff games, he has 11 points on five goals and six assists. He is a minus-six and has two power-play goals.

Tyler Pitlick

Pitlick has appeared in 420 career NHL games with stints on eight different teams. He has 109 career points on 56 goals and 53 assists. Pitlick is a career minus-six with 102 penalty minutes and two power-play points. In 277 career AHL games, he has 138 points on 52 goals and 86 assists. He is a career plus-five with 11 power-play goals. In 48 Calder Cup Playoff games, he has 17 points on six goals and 11 assists. He is a plus-four and has one power-play goal.
