Vancouver Canucks Re-Sign Two from Calder Cup Champion Team

The Vancouver Canucks today re-signed two players from their Calder Cup Champion team in Abbotsford. First, they re-signed goalie Nikita Tolopilo to a two-year, two-way extension. The first season carries a $775K AAV for the NHL with a $230K AAV for the AHL. In the second year of the deal, it carries a $775K AAV for the NHL and goes up to a $380K AAV for the AHL. The other played re-signed is defenseman Jett Woo who signed a one-year, two-way contract extension. The deal is for a $775K AAV for the NHL and a $290K AAV for the AHL.

Tolopilo in 36 games this season went 20-14-2 with a .902 save percentage, a 2.66 goals-against average, and four shutouts. In the playoffs, he played in one game, stopping 21 of the 23 shots he faced. He did play in two games with Vancouver. He went 1-1-0 with a 2.15 goals-against average and a .885 save percentage. Woo in 67 games this season had 18 points on two goals and 16 assists. He was a +14 with a game-winning goal and 90 penalty minutes. In 22 playoff games, he had six points on a goal and five assists. He was a plus-eight and had 12 penalty minutes.

Nikita Tolopilo

Tolopilo’s first season with Abbotsford was the 2023-24 season. In 35 games he went 20-13-1 with a .905 save percentage and a 2.83 goals-against average.

Jett Woo

Woo’s spent four seasons with Abbotsford including this past season. In 239 games he has 78 points on 18 goals and 60 assists. He is a +25 with a power-play goal, six game-winning goals, and 314 penalty minutes. Before Abbotsford, he was with the Utica Comets, playing in 28 games, recording five points on three goals and two assists. He was a plus-seven with three game-winning goals and 18 penalty minutes. In 267 career AHL games, he has 83 points on 21 goals and 62 assists. He is a +32 with a power-play goal, nine game-winning goals, and 332 penalty minutes.
