The Winnipeg Jets announced their 2025 NHL Training Camp Roster and Schedule today via press release. The camp will take place at the Hockey For All Centre, with off-ice medicals scheduled for Wednesday, September 17th, and the camp formally starting the following day.
All practices held at the Hockey For All Centre are open to the public. If you’d like to plan your schedule, here is the Winnipeg Jets Training Camp Schedule. Included in this is a 55-man roster, broken down into six goalies, 18 defenseman, and 31 forwards. The Winnipeg Jets’ preseason schedule was announced in June and was the first puzzle piece to this year’s training camp.

Players to Watch:
Parker Ford: Ford made his NHL debut against the Boston Bruins, scoring his first NHL goal in front of friends and family in Boston. Ford solidified himself as a leader for the Moose and looks to add more NHL games to his resume this season. He will look to keep himself on the edge of earning a roster spot as he battles the Jets’ additional depth added throughout the 2025 offseason.
Brayden Yager: Yager continued to push ahead in the 2024-25 season, and his participation in the Jets’ Prospect Showdown against Montreal and Ottawa this weekend will give him an extra step in training camp. The young forward is set to begin his professional career and has noted that he wants to make the NHL. Yager was also sent to represent the Winnipeg Jets at the NHLPA Rookie Showcase. If all things go well for the 20-year-old, he will certainly make it difficult for the Jets to keep him with the Manitoba Moose for long.
Kevin He: After an impressive 2024 training camp, He tore up the Ontario Hockey League with the Niagara IceDogs, posting 75 points (36G, 39A) in 62 games. He looked confident in his abilities last September as he attended the Jets’ training camp at 18 years old. With one NHL training camp under his belt, He will have some added experience as he’s one of many prospects headed to Montreal in the Prospect Showdown.
Brad Lambert: After an underwhelming season, Lambert will look to regain his footing with the Manitoba Moose and hopefully with the Winnipeg Jets for a stint or two. After experimenting with Lambert on the wing, it is clear that the 6-foot centre is best at centre and doesn’t find the same element to his game on the wing. Lambert earned himself five NHL games in 2024-25, posting just one assist/point, and he’ll look to build on his growing momentum as the Jets look to remain competitive beyond this year.
Jonathan Toews: The now 37-year-old Toews has missed two full seasons and a third back in 2020-21. It is certainly going to be interesting to see how Toews adjusts back to the NHL, and how the city reacts to the Winnipeg-born centre suiting up for his childhood team. While Toews will certainly play NHL games, there is no guarantee of what he will look like in game action. Training camp, preseason games, and time will tell.
Elias Salomonsson: Salomonsson impressed massively at training camp last season, and with injuries keeping Logan Stanley and Ville Heinola out of the lineup to start the season, Salomonsson was given a long look, but did not play any NHL games. This year, it will be a battle, but a reasonable one, given that Salomonsson is slowly developing in the right direction. With the prospect of playing an NHL game this season unlikely, Salomonsson will definitely be in conversation to showcase his skills in the NHL.
Colby Barlow: Out of all the players on the training camp roster, Colby Barlow might have one of the best chances to make the NHL out of anyone if his shot is on par with what we saw during his Manitoba Moose debut back in the 2023-24 season end. He has the skillset to impress a lot of people and keep himself in conversation for a roster spot or even a few games with the Jets.
