Martone is an 18-year-old right-winger from Peterborough, Ontario. During the 2024-25 season, Martone scored 37 goals and 61 assists across 57 regular season games for the Brampton Steelheads. He was also named to Canada’s World Junior Championship team, where he scored one goal across three games, but his time for his National team didn’t end there. He appeared in two games for Team Canada in the Men’s World Championship, scoring zero goals and zero assists through that time.
Martone is a player who has a strong balance between his skill and physical play, and he has a strong winning mentality. Martone plays an intense and physical game of hockey with a strong offensive zone presence. He is also capable and comfortable hanging out in front of the net in hopes of tipping the puck in. Martone is a deceptive player who can set up and execute a play wherever he is on the ice. He holds a lethal mid-range shot and excels at playing the puck on the rebound. His shot selection can be a little bit iffy, and he could improve his speed, but he’s been compared to the likes of Mikko Rantanen and the Tkachuk brothers and will likely end up being a solid middle to top-six addition to Philadelphia’s right-wing depth.
Jack Nesbitt

Nesbitt is an 18-year-old left-shooting center. He spent the 2024-25 season playing for the Windsor Spitfires, where he scored 25 goals and 39 assists over 65 games. He also participated in the 2025 World Junior Championships for Team Canada, where he scored two goals and three assists over six games.
Nesbitt has been described as a power forward, comfortable retrieving the puck from opposing defenders. He has a strong hockey IQ and was a main contributor to the Spitfires this season. His biggest weakness is his skating ability; he has a lanky, tall frame with heavy feet. However, he is effective at both ends of the sheet and is able to create offense when it’s needed. Nesbitt has great passing skills and is strong on the forecheck. He reads plays well and can initiate turnovers with his extended reach. Nesbitt is comparable to the likes of Morgan Geekie and, with proper development, will be a good addition to Philadelphia’s middle-six.
