The ECHL has announced that they have suspended Adirondack Thunder forward Nico Blachman for one game for his actions after the final whistle during Sunday Afternoon’s game vs Reading Royals. Blachman and Steven Leonard dropped the gloves as the Royals were celebrating on the ice. Blachman and Leonard weren’t on the ice when the game-winning goal was scored. In 29 games this season with the Kalamazoo Wings and Adirondack, Blachman has put up three goals and two assists for five points. Nico is one of those players who plays on that fine line and sometimes gets punished for crossing it, and he has a reputation and history so that obviously played into the suspension. Blachman will miss Wednesday’s game vs Florida Everblades. Colin Felix was also fined

Adirondack is gonna have to make at least one signing as Zach Walker is suspended, and there has been no word on Defenceman Darion Skeoch and goaltender Vinnie Purpura were both out of the lineup for both games against the Reading Royals. Adirondack will look to continue their 17-game point streak on Wednesday Night in Estero vs Florida Everblades.
