Texas Stars News & Notes:

The Stars swept the Grand Rapids Griffins then beat the Milwaukee Admirals in five games to reach the Western Conference Finals. They are now 6-1-1, averaging 3.9 goals per game while allowing 2.4 goals per game. Remi Poirier is posting a 1.87 goals-against average, a .926 save percentage, and a shutout. Magnus Hellberg is posting a 2.85 goals-against average and a .889 save percentage.  The Stars and Canucks didn’t play in the regular season.

Abbotsford Canucks News & Notes

The Canucks beat the Tuscon Roadrunners in three games, then Coachella Valley in four games before beating the Colorado Eagles in five games to reach the Western Conference Finals. They are to 8-3-1, averaging three goals per game while allowing two goals per game. Arturs Silovs is posting a 1.73 goals-against average, a .936 save percentage, and four shutouts. Nikita Tolopilo in his lone game allowed two goals on 23 shots.
