Back in November, Milan Lucic was arrested and arraigned following an alleged domestic violence incident at his home. He was then charged with assault and battery of a family member by the Suffolk District Attorney’s Office. Following the incident, the team released the following statement on Lucic.

“The Boston Bruins are aware of the situation involving Milan Lucic Friday evening. Milan is taking an indefinite leave of absence from the team. The organization takes these matters very seriously, and we will work with the Lucic family to provide any support and assistance they may need. We will have no further comment at this time,”

This morning, a local reporter for CBS Boston broke the news that Lucic’s case would NOT be going to trial.
As Lucic gets more clarity on his legal situation, the Bruins are still looking for clarity on his availability. The Boston Bruins are on a three-game losing skid that has cost them the first-place mantle. With the NHL Trade Deadline less than a month away, the Bruins will be looking for clarity on if or when Lucic will be able to return to the lineup.

The Boston Bruins released a statement that Milan Lucic will not return to the Bruins during the ’23-24 season. Lucic will remain on an indefinite leave of absence to focus on his family and personal matters.
