Breaking: Minnesota Wild Acquire Gustav Nyquist 

The Minnesota Wild take on the Boston Bruins tomorrow night. They are expected to do so with a new weapon in their lineup as they’ve acquired forward Gustav Nyquist from the Nashville Predators. Nashville is acquiring a 2026 second-round draft pick. Nyquist was held out of Nashville’s game today with a trade being imminent. Nashville is retaining 50% of Nyquist’s contract. Nyquist played in three games for Minnesota last season recording five points on a goal and four assists.

Gustav Nyquist 

Nyquist is in his 13th season. He spent his first eight seasons in Detroit where he played in 481 games recording 295 points on 125 goals and 170 assists. He then played in 19 games with the Sharks recording 11 points on six goals and five assists. Nyquist spent the next three seasons with Columbus playing in 200 games recording 117 points on 43 goals and 74 assists. He’s spent the two seasons in Nashville recording 96 points on 32 goals and 64 assists. The 35-year-old joins a team in the playoff hunt with him still searching for his first Stanley Cup.
