Bruins are off to their best start in 86 years. The 1937-38 team started the season 6-0-0 also. Boston has allowed just seven goals, and their penalty kill is second in the NHL at 96 percent. The goaltending tandem of Linus Ullmark and Jeremy Swayman have a combined .960 save percentage. The Bruins beat the Ducks 3-1 in Anaheim on October 22.

The Ducks have struggled offensively, with just 105 shots on goal in six games. The power play is among the worst in the league at 5.3 percent. Anaheim is coming off a 3-2 overtime win over Columbus on Tuesday.

Anaheim – Former Bruin Frank Vatrano has been hot for the Ducks. Vatrano scored the overtime game-winning goal for Anaheim Tuesday and has five goals on the season. Mason McTavish has collected five points in six games.

Boston – Matt Poitras has three goals in his last two games and scored the game-winning goal against Anaheim. The rookie center is 42nd in the NHL out of 654 skaters in goals per 60 minutes. David Pastrnak has five goals and three assists and is a plus-5.
