The Bruins won the first game of the four-game road trip in San Jose Thursday night 3-1. Brad Marchand, James van Riemsdyk, and David Pastrnak were the goal scorers. The Bruins have scored just nine goals in their three games but have won all three. This is the second year in a row that the Bruins have started the season 3-0-0. Jake DeBrusk is scratched due to being late for a team meeting.

Los Angeles Kings Notes:

The Kings are coming off a 7-3 trouncing of the Minnesota Wild Thursday night. The Kings average 4.75 goals per game and are shooting the puck collectively at a 15.6 percent rate, which is tops in the league.

Los Angeles – Trevor Moore has scored four goals already this season after scoring just ten all year in 2022-23. Pierre-Luc Dubois has paid dividends since coming over from Winnipeg in June by collecting three goals so far. Defenseman Drew Doughty will play in his 1,100th career game.

Boston – David Pastrnak is off to a hot start following his 61-goal season a year ago. Newcomer James van Riemsdyk has three goals in three games. The two players have scored seven of the team’s nine goals.
