Bowen Byram Re-Signs With Colorado Avalanche

After bracing for a potential offer sheet on defenseman Bowen Byram, the Colorado Avalanche have agreed to terms on a two-year contract worth $3.85 million. Bowen Byram has played 91 career games with the Colorado Avalanche across three seasons. Bryam was also a significant asset to the Avalanche’s 2022 Stanley Cup Championship-winning team.

In Byram’s NHL career, he’s posted 15 goals and 28 assists for 43 points so far, when Bryam is called upon, he is a considerable impact on the ice and is loved by his teammates.

Bryam’s 2022-23 season is his longest NHL season to date, he played 42 games and posted career-high numbers in goals (10), assists (14), and points (24). While there was speculation that a team might offer sheet Bowen Byram, the Colorado Avalanche and general manager Chris MacFarland made a two-year contract for Byram work. Byram will likely get a hefty pay raise when the cap raises significantly over the next two seasons.

Bowen Byram will be a restricted free agent when his contract expires at the end of the 2024-25 season.
