The Canucks took game one in double overtime 4-3. They improved to 13-4-2, averaging 2.9 goals per game while allowing 2.2 goals per game. Arturs Silovs stopped 51 of the 54 shots he faced in game one. He is posting a 1.94 goals-against average, a .931 save percentage, and five shutouts. Nikita Tolopilo, in his lone game, allowed two goals on 23 shots.

Charlotte Checkers News & Notes:

The Checkers had their eight game winning streak snapped in game one. Charlotte will look to even the series before heading on the road. They dropped to 10-2-1 in the Calder Cup playoffs, averaging 3.7 goals per game while allowing 1.9 goals per game. Kaapo Kahkonen stopped 26 of the 30 shots he faced in game one. He is posting a 1.84 goals-against average, a .921 save percentage, and a shutout.
