NHL.com

Tonight the Calgary Wranglers and Abbotsford Canucks kick off their best-of-five series! The Canucks, who finished the regular season with a record of 40-25-3, defeated the Bakersfield Condors in two straight games in the first round of the playoffs. The Wranglers, who have been waiting for the first round to complete, finished with a record of 51-17-3.

Players to Watch

For the Canucks, keep an eye on forward Nils Hoglander, who had an impressive regular season with 14 goals and 18 assists in 45 games but has 4 points in 2 Playoff games. Defenseman Jack Rathbone is another player to watch, as he recorded two goals in the first-round series against the Condors.

On the other side, the Wranglers will look to forward Matthew Phillips, who had thirty-six goals and forty assists in the regular season. Defenseman Nick DeSimone, who had eight goals and an incredible thirty-eight assists, will also be a key player for the Wranglers.

Series Outlook

The Wranglers won the regular-season series 8-4. However, the Canucks enter the series with more momentum, having swept their first-round series, while the Wranglers have been resting.

Overall, the Wranglers appear to have the edge in this series, but the Canucks have the potential to pull off an upset if they can get their powerplay on the ice and get strong performances from their key players.
