Detroit Red Wings All-Star Game Representative

Last night, the NHL announced the 32 players participating in this year’s All-Star game in Toronto on February 3, 2024. Each team has one representative going to the game, and this year, it was announced they would be returning to the fantasy player draft, which was used from 2011-2015. The format for the game will remain with it being three-on-three. The two captains will be Connor McDavid from the Edmonton Oilers and Auston Matthews from the Toronto Maple Leafs. The Red Wings will have Alex DeBrincat there representing them.

Alex DeBrincat 2023 By The Numbers

DeBrincat was acquired by Detroit from the Ottawa Senators for Dominik Kubalik, Donovan Sebrango, and two draft picks: a first-round pick and a fourth-round pick both in 2024. To this point in the season, he has played in 39 games and recorded 38 points, coming on 17 goals and 21 assists. He has 13 power-play points on seven goals and six assists. As for the Red Wings, he ranks first on the team in all three categories: points, goals, and assists. In all of the NHL, he ranks tied for 29th in points, tied for 20th in goals, tied for 52nd in assists, tied for 13th in power-play goals, and tied for 34th in power-play points.

Wrap Up:

The NHL will now have a fan vote from January 4th to January 11th and will determine the final 12 players who will join the original 32 in Toronto: eight skaters and four goalies. So that means Red Wings fans can vote for Moritz Seider, Dylan Larkin, Lucas Raymond, Patrick Kane, or even Alex Lyon, who has stormed onto the scene and helped the Red Wings rack up some wins.
