The Detroit Red Wings entering the road trip are currently three points back of a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. It’s been a shocking turnaround over the last month. They are 11-4-1 under Todd McLellan which has brought them back. The Red Wings also have a 37.7 power-play percentage under McLellan and a 71.9 penalty-kill percentage. They will enter the road trip with a red-hot Marco Kasper. He has found a home on the top line with Dylan Larkin and Lucas Raymond. Kasper has recorded 11 points in ten games on seven goals and four assists. Larkin has 18 points in his last 13 games on eight goals and ten assists. Raymond also has 18 points in his last 12 games on five goals and 13 assists.

The Red Wings are wrapping up their season series against all four teams on the road trip. In the previous meetings against the four teams, they are 2-0-2 against them. They beat the Kraken 6-2 on January 12th, and the Flames 2-1 in overtime on November 27th. They would lose 3-2 in overtime to the Oilers on October 27th. On December 1st they lost to the Canucks 5-4 in overtime. If the Red Wings could come back with six points in the four games, they just may be right back into a playoff spot.
