Regardless of who drafted them and when they were drafted, every single NHL draft prospect has a bragging right: they were drafted to a National Hockey League Team. Not every hockey player signs an entry-level contract with an NHL club, most are lucky enough to get to the American Hockey League or the top professional league in their respective country.
This list will contain each team with players on their reserve list whose signing rights have expired. With that being said, let’s review each player that had their signing rights expire and are set to become a free agent as of Thursday, June 1st, 2023.
Anaheim Ducks:

Sean Tschigerl, 20 years old, left-wing, was drafted in the fifth round at 130th overall in the 2021 NHL entry draft.
Arizona Coyotes:
The Arizona Coyotes had four players whose signing rights expired, let’s review each player briefly.
Axel Bergkvist, 22 years old, defenseman, was drafted in the seventh round at 200th overall in the 2019 NHL entry draft. This player is also under contract in Sweden through the 2023-24 season.
Manix Landry, 20 years old, center, was drafted in the fifth round at 139th overall in the 2021 NHL entry draft. This player is also under contract in Switzerland through the 2023-24 season.
Emil Martinsen Lilleberg, 22 years old, defenseman, was drafted in the fourth round at 107th overall in the 2021 NHL entry draft. This player is also under contract in Sweden through the 2023-24 season.
Valentin Nussbaumer, 22 years old, center/left-wing, was drafted in the seventh round at 207th overall in the 2019 NHL entry draft. This player is also under contract in Switzerland through the 2023-24 season.
Boston Bruins:
The Boston Bruins had one player whose signing rights expired.
Matias Mantykivi, 21 years old, center, was drafted in the sixth round at 185th overall in the 2019 NHL entry draft. This player is also under contract in Finland through the 2023-24 season.

Calgary Flames:
The Calgary Flames had five players whose signing rights expired.
Jack Beck, 20 years old, right-wing, was drafted in the sixth round at 168th overall in the 2021 NHL entry draft.
Lucas Feuk, 22 years old, center/right-wing, was drafted in the fourth round at 116th overall in the 2019 NHL entry draft.
Cole Huckins, 20 years old, center, was drafted in the third round at 77th overall in the 2021 NHL entry draft.
Cole Jordan, 20 years old, defenseman, was drafted in the fifth round at 141st overall in the 2021 NHL entry draft.
Cameron Whynot, 20 years old, defenseman, was drafted in the third round at 89th overall in the 2021 NHL entry draft.
Carolina Hurricanes:
The Carolina Hurricanes had two players whose signing rights expired.
Bryce Montgomery, 20 years old, defenseman, was drafted in the sixth round at 170th overall in the 2021 NHL entry draft.
Robert Orr, 19 years old, right-wing, was drafted in the fifth round at 136th overall in the 2021 NHL entry draft.
Justin Robidas, 20 years old, center, was drafted in the fifth round at 147th overall in the 2021 NHL entry and signed by the Carolina Hurricanes before his signing rights expired.
Columbus Blue Jackets:
The Columbus Blue Jackets had one player whose signing rights expired.
Eric Hjornth, 22 years old, defenseman, was drafted in the fourth round at 104th overall in the 2019 NHL entry draft.
Dallas Stars:
The Dallas Stars have three players whose signing rights expired.
Jacob Holmes, 19 years old, defenseman, was drafted in the fifth round at 143rd overall in the 2021 NHL entry draft.
Conner Roulette, 20 years old, left-wing, was drafted in the fourth round at 111th overall in the 2021 NHL entry draft.
Samuel Sjolund, 22 years old, defenseman, was drafted in the fourth round at 11th overall in the 2019 NHL entry draft.
Detroit Red Wings:
The Detroit Red Wings had four players whose signing rights expired.
Gustav Berglund, 22 years old, defenseman, was drafted in the sixth round at 177th overall in the 2019 NHL entry draft.
Albin Grewe, 22 years old, right-wing/center, was drafted in the third round at 66th overall in the 2019 NHL entry draft. This player is also under contract in Sweden through the 2023-24 season.
Oskar Plandowski, 20 years old, defenseman, was drafted in the fifth round at 155th overall in the 2021 NHL entry draft,
Pasquale Zito, 19 years old, left-wing, was drafted in the sixth round at 166th overall in the 2021 NHL entry draft.
Edmonton Oilers:
The Edmonton Oilers had one player whose signing rights expired, and another who they signed via trade (see New York Rangers).
Patrik Puistola, 22 years old, left-wing, was drafted originally by the Carolina Hurricanes and later traded to Edmonton, Puistola was drafted in the third round at 73rd overall in the 2019 NHL entry draft. Patrik Puistola is also under contract in Finland through the 2023-24 season.
Florida Panthers:
The Florida Panthers had one player whose signing rights expired.
Braden Hache, 20 years old, defenseman, was drafted in the seventh round at 210th overall in the 2021 NHL entry draft.
Los Angeles Kings:
The Los Angeles Kings had one player whose signing rights expired.
Lukas Parik, 22 years old, goaltender, was drafted in the third round at 87th overall in the 2019 NHL entry draft.
Montreal Canadiens:
The Montreal Canadiens had one player whose signing rights expired.
Frederik Nissen Dichow, 22 years old, goaltender, was drafted in the fifth round at 138th overall in the 2019 NHL entry draft. This player is also under contract in Sweden through the 2023-24 season.
New Jersey Devils:

Nikola Pasic, 22 years old, center, was drafted in the seventh round at 189th overall in the 2019 NHL entry draft. This player is also under contract in Sweden through the 2023-24 season.

Leevi Aaltonen, 22 years old, left-wing, was drafted in the fifth round at 130th overall in the 2019 NHL entry draft.

Pittsburgh Penguins:

Santeri Airola, 22 years old, defenseman, was drafted in the seventh round at 211th overall in the 2019 NHL entry draft. This player is also under contract in Finland through the 2023-24 season.
Ryan McCleary, 19 years old, defenseman, was drafted in the seventh round at 194th overall in the 2021 NHL entry draft.
San Jose Sharks:

Vancouver Canucks:

Arvid Costmar, 21 years old, center, was drafted in the seventh round at 215th overall in the 2019 NHL entry draft. This player is also under contract in Sweden through the 2023-24 season.

Washington Capitals:
