The Colorado Avalanche have agreed to terms on a one-year contract worth $825k annually with forward Jonathan Drouin. Drouin most recently played with the Montreal Canadiens, where he played six seasons for the franchise. Drouin was drafted third overall by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Jonathan Drouin Stats

In Drouin’s 2022-23 season with the Canadiens, he posted two goals and 27 assists for 29 points in 58 games. Through Drouin’s nine-year NHL career, he’s played 485 games where he’s scored 77 goals and 204 assists for 281 total points.

The Colorado Avalanche solidify their depth pieces ahead of the 2023-24 season with the addition of Drouin. Drouin can also potentially play higher up the lineup, given his production skyrockets again. The 28-year-old from Ste-Agathe, Quebec, will look to revitalize his career with this contract.

Jonathan Drouin is set to be an unrestricted free agent when his contract expires at the end of the 2023-24 season.
