ECHL: Adirondack Thunder Sign Alex Young

Arizona State Hockey

The Adirondack Thunder have announced that they have signed forward Alex Young to a standard contract. In 37 games with Arizona State this season, the former San Jose Sharks Draft Pick put up six goals and three assists for nine points in 37 games. Prior to joining the Sun Devils, the Calgary native spent three years at Colgate University, where he put up 37 goals and 46 assists for 83 points in 100 games with the Raiders, including being part of the All-Tournament Team and All First-Team during the 2022-23 season. The Thunder released

Young is likely a filler for the Thunder as Shane Harper will serve the final game of his three-game suspension on Friday vs Allen Americans. Head Coach Pete MacArthur will likely be on the hunt for some more bodies as the Newfoundland Growlers folded on Tuesday and have a couple of names that could benefit a Thunder team that is dealing with a lot of injuries.
