The ECHL’s Department of Players Safely has suspended Adirondack Thunder forward Shane Harper for three games for cross-checking. The 35-year-old forward cross-checked Norfolk’s Stepan Timofeyev in the head/neck area. Harper was assessed a match penalty for cross-checking and a minor for slashing at the 7:30 mark of the third period in Sunday’s game vs. Norfolk. In 53 games this season, Harper has 17 goals and 35 assists for 52 points. He will miss Adirondack’s game vs. Reading on Friday and Saturday.

Harper is the second Thunder player to be suspended this week, following Darion Skeoch’s suspension for his actions in Saturday’s game.
