ECHL Announces Fines and Suspensions | 03/24/2024

The ECHL Department of Player’s Safety has announced multiple suspensions stemming from Saturday’s games. Adirondack Thunder defenceman Darian Skeoch has been suspended two games and fined an undisclosed amount as a result of his game misconduct for being the aggressor in a fight at the 19:51 mark of the second period. The 6’4 defenceman has played in 48 games this year between the Savannah Ghost Pirates and Adirondack Thunder, putting up on goal and five assists for six points, along with 161 penalty minutes. Skeoch will miss Sunday’s game vs Norfolk Admirals and Friday’s game vs Reading. Bray Crowder will likely slot into the Thunder lineup on Sunday afternoon; Crowder has a goal and four assists in 17 games with the Thunder, which is the third team this season after previously spending time with the Allen Americans and Indy Fuel.

Norfolk’s Keegan Iverson has been suspended two games and fined an undisclosed amount for an unpenalized illegal hit to the head. Iverson, who was in his first game back from a two-game suspension for elbowing, would elbow Adirondack’s Mike Gillespie up in the head area at the 13:49 mark of the first period, which would end up knocking Gillespie out for the rest of the game. In 41 games this season, Iverson has six goals and five assists for 11 points, along with 133 minutes in penalties. Iverson will miss Sunday’s game at Adirondack and Friday’s game vs Atlanta Gladiators.
