ECHL: Adirondack Thunder Transactions | 03/13/2024

The Adirondack Thunder made a couple of moves on Wednesday, as two of their three transactions on the day involved defensemen. Utica came calling for a defenseman, as Jackson van de Leest had been signed to a PTO by Utica earlier in the day. This left the Thunder with only five defensemen, but that only lasted for a few hours as Head Coach Pete MacArthur went out and signed a blueliner.

Jordan Di Cicco joins the Thunder blueline after spending the last four years at Long Island University which is the same school that goaltender Vinnie Purpura came out of. In 110 games with the Sharks, the 5’9 defenseman put up 12 goals and 25 assists for 37 points, I would expect the Ontario native to be in the lineup on Friday night as the Thunder travel to take on the Maine Mariners in Portland.

Shane Bull, the most recent signing upfront for the Thunder, was placed on reserve today for the Thunder. Bull has played in three games with the Thunder but has yet to find the scoreboard after putting up 42 points in 26 games at SUNY-Oswego this past season.
