Forward Signed To ATO

Adirondack have announced that they’ve signed forward Lars Rodne to an amateur try-out agreement. He becomes the second player on the Thunder this season to be given an ATO. The 6’0,181lb winger had 10 goals and four assists for 14 points in 29 games this season with Niagara University.

Ronde, 24, spent two seasons in the NAHL with the Bismarck Bobcats, where he put up 36 goals and 27 assists for 63 points in 82 games, and would be tied for the team lead in goals (20) during his first season with the team. The Norwegian winger then took the NCAA route, spending four years at Niagara University, putting up 29 goals and 30 assists for 59 points in 131 NCAA games.

Thunder Claim Defenseman

The Thunder have claimed forward Denis Busby off waivers from the Fort Wayne Komets. Busby, 25, has played in four games this season with the Komets. Prior to joining Fort Wayne, the Barrie, Ontario native spent four seasons in the OHL with the Flint Firebirds where he put up eight goals and 49 assists for 57 points in 154 games, and would be drafted by the Arizona Coyotes in the fifth round of the 2018 NHL Draft.
