ECHL: Adirondack Thunder Transactions | 03\19\2024

The Adirondack Thunder got some help up the middle on Tuesday as they signed Mac Welsher from Merrimack College, and the Comets sent T.J. Friedmann back to Adirondack. I talked about the addition of Welsher in an article earlier today that can be found here. Friedmann has dealt with injuries all season but has played well when he’s been in the lineup. In 13 games with Adirondack, he has four goals and one assist, and in three games with the Comets, he’s had a goal and an assist. With four games in five days for the Thunder, it is likely he was sent down to get a decent amount of playing time over the next week.

Jeremy Brodeur will get the night off tomorrow vs. Worcester, as the Thunder placed him on reserve today. I would expect Isaac Poulter to get his first, seeing that Vinnie Purpura started on Saturday in Worcester, making 40 saves in the 5-1 win. Brodeur is 17-8-1 with a 2.51 GAA, .921 SV%, and two shutouts in 27 games this season.
