ECHL: Adirondack Thunder Transactions | 04/01/2024

This week’s theme for the Adirondack Thunder is injuries, and on Monday, goaltender Tyler Brennan would join the growing IR list for the Thunder as he was placed on IR. Brennan, who came off IR on Friday and started on Saturday vs Reading Royals in his first start since 3/8 vs Maine Mariners in a game in which he would be pulled from after giving up three goals on eight shots, didn’t fare much better on Saturday as he would give up four goals on 20 shots and it seems like whatever injury he had is still bothering him. Adirondack did get Jeremy Brodeur back, as he missed the weekend as he was on family leave the Thunder will head to Allen with a tandem of Brodeur and Poulter.

Adirondack did get some help on the backend as Jackson van de Leest returns from his most recent stint with the Utica Comets as he played in five games, including picking up his first career AHL assist last Friday vs Providence Bruins, as he now has one assist in six games with the Comets and two assists in 11 games with the Thunder this season after being signed out of Dalhousie University. van de Leest is expected to travel with the team on their upcoming road trip. Everett Wardle was released today to make room for van de Leest. Wardle was signed to an ATO by the Thunder after finishing up at Skidmore College. When first signed, Head Coach Pete MacArthur said he was there, an insurance body that Adirondack would end up needing Wardle played in two games with Adirondack and picked up his first pro assist on 3/24 vs Norfolk Admirals.
