ECHL Announces Length Of ADK Zach Walker Suspension

The ECHL Department of Player’s Saftey has officially announced the length for Adirondack Thunder Zach Walker’s suspension after he was tossed from Friday’s Game for abuse of officials under rule 40.2 at the 15:18 mark of the opening period after he made contact with an official. Walker will be suspended for eight games(Served Two Already) and is eligible to return on February 16 vs. Reading. The 25-year-old forward was suspended by the league indefinitely on Saturday as the league reviewed his case. Walker has three goals and seven assists for 10 points in 20 games this season. Prior to joining the Thunder, Walker spent two seasons with the Idaho Steelheads, where he had 16 goals and 25 assists for 41 points in 119 games. Walker has already missed two games due to his suspension.

Walker is one of a few bodies Adirondack is going to have to replace due to call-ups, suspension, or injury. As I mentioned in a previous article, expect a busy week transaction-wise for the Thunder.
