ECHL Breaking News: Patrick Grasso Breaks Adirondack Thunder Franchise Goal Record

The Adirondack Thunder officially have a new leader in franchise goals as Patrick Grasso found the back of the net on January 6th vs the Maine Mariners for his 78th career goal, passing Brian Ward, who spent parts of three seasons with the Thunder, “It felt really good its a testament more to my teammates than it is to me and I’m so grateful for that” said the Thunder Captain. Head Coach Pete MacArthur also talked about Grasso breaking the record, “He’s just a pure sniper, but he does everything the right way in his preparation and how he treats people; he’s a true pro; he is Adirondack Thunder.” Grasso, 27, is in his third season with the Thunder and has led the Thunder in goals in the past two seasons with his record-breaking goal now leading Adirondack with 12. Grasso was also named captain of the Thunder for the 2023-24 season replacing Shane Harper, who was still undecided on his playing career when the season started. It was also recently announced that Patrick Grasso will be the Adirondack Thunder’s representative at this year’s All-Star Game in Savannah.
