ECHL: Introducing The Tahoe Knight Monsters

Breaking news from the ECHL’s newest team as the Lake Tahoe Pro Hockey Club announces its name and logo. The Knight Monsters will begin play in the ECHL beginning in the 2024-2025 Season. They will most likely play in the ECHL’s Western Conference in the Mountain Division, which is currently made up of the Idaho Steelheads, Kansas City Mavericks, Tulsa Oilers, Witchita Thunder, Rapid City Rush, Utah Grizzlies, and the Allen Americans. The Knight Monsters will be the ECHL’s 29th team.

Lake Tahoe was the site for an NHL Outdoor Series featuring four of the NHL’s teams: Vegas Golden Knights, Colorado Avalanche, Philadelphia Flyers, and Boston Bruins. The teams played at the Edgewood Tahoe Resort Stateline, Nevada, on February 20th and 21st.

The teams’ colors will be teal, gold, and black, with a dragon-like creature that will serve as the logo for the Knight Monsters. The Knight Monsters are owned by former NFL Quarterback Tim Tebow. Co-owner David Hodges said during the press conference: “It is an honor and privilege to steward the Tahoe Knight Monsters for this community.” The Knight Monsters will play at the brand-new Tahoe Blue Event Center, which will be located in Stateline, Nevada

What is a Knight Monster:

A Knight Monster serves as the logo as the Knight represents the protection and fights that Knights have while also going along with the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights, as well as the AHL’s Henderson Silver Knights, who will most likely be the affiliates next season. The Monster in the name is for the ferocity of a monster.
