ECHL: Kansas City Mavericks Add Two Players To Roster

The Kansas City Mavericks are starting to sign players left and right to fill their roster for the up-and-coming season, with yet another signing with the return of forward Luke Santerno and rookie left winger Ty Enns. Luke is returning to the Mavericks after coming at the end of the season from a trade with the Wheeling Nailers. Santerno started last season off with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits playing two games before getting sent to Wheeling, where he played thirteen games for them before finally getting traded to Kansas City, where he finished the season. He put up a total of 12 points last year with three goals and nine assists. Kansas City Associate Coach Riley Weselowski had a few words to say about Luke’s return in a tweet from the team. ” Luke came to us in a mid-season trade and was thrown into the fire right away. We believe that this, His second year as a pro, is GOING TO BE A HUGE SEASON for him. Luke is a player who takes pride in the Defensive side of the game and has shown that he can play a shutdown role. We feel that coming into camp with a year under his belt, his confidence will be high, and once the offense starts to click, he has the ability to be a driver on our team”. With that being said, By Coach Weselowski, I think Luke would be one of the guys to watch this upcoming season for the Mavericks.

Now on to the Signing that happened today, July 11th, as the Mavericks Signed Rookie Left Winger Ty Enns for the upcoming season. Where should I even start with this guy? This man was a beast in his college playing times. He put up 93 points in 61 games over two seasons with Adrian College. He also put up 47 points in 45 games in two seasons at Marian University. He also won a national division III championship when he was at Adrian College. He did appear last year in three games with the Toledo Walleye, which in ECHL, you have to play at least 25 games to consider yourself not a rookie anymore. With that being said, let’s see if Ty still has that hot stick coming to the upcoming season.
