This divisional recap summarizes the North Division teams in the ECHL, focusing on their standings, recent game results, player milestones, and key statistics.
Trois-Rivieres Lions (33-9-4-1, 71pts, 1st Place)
The Trois-Rivieres Lions would make easy work of their week, picking up four straight wins against the Thunder. Jakov Novak continues to haunt the Thunder as he had five goals and two assists for seven points last week and is currently on a five-game point streak. Morgan Adams-Moisan would record his 100th career point on the weekend as well. Hunter Jones continued his strong play as he picked up two more wins and has not lost in regulation in his last 17 starts. On the other end of the goaltending spectrum, the Lions would lose Zachary Emond, who decided to take the overseas route as the Lions were running a three-goalie system all season. The Lions will host the Thunder this weekend for a three-in-three.

Wheeling Nailers (30-14-2-0, 62pts, 2nd Place)
The Wheeling Nailers would drop both of their games this weekend as they played their first two games against a South Division opponent. On Saturday, the Nailers and Stingrays combined for 122 penalty minutes, including two game misconducts. Nailer’s forward Peter Laviolette would get a five-game suspension for his actions in Saturday’s game. It appears as if the Nailers are coming back down to Earth, as they are now 4-6 in their last 10 games. Kyle Jackson would score his team-leading 21st goal of the season and now has three goals in his last four games.
Norfolk Admirals (28-16-3, 59 pts, 3rd Place)
The Norfolk Admirals would lose their only game of the weekend 2-1 against the Reading Royals. Ryan Chyzowski would pick an assist on the Norfolk goals, as he now has points in all three games against his former team (3G,3A). Norfolk would claim Andrei Bakanov off of waivers and sign Grant Herbert, who they traded the rights for earlier this season. The Admirals will host the Mariners for a three-in-three this weekend.
Worcester Railers (23-20-2-4, 52pts, 4th Place)
The Worcester Railers continued their dominance over the Mountain Division, improving to 5-1 after sweeping the Allen Americans on the road this weekend. Benjamin Lindberg would pick up his first career ECHL point with an assist in Sunday’s 3-1 win. Tyler Kobryn would pick up back-to-back goals on Saturday and Sunday for his first two goals as a Railer after being acquired by the Florida Everblades last week. Jordan Kaplan is also on a three-game goal streak. The Railers have an odd schedule this week as they play the South Carolina Stingrays on Wednesday and Sunday and the Savannah Ghost Pirates on Friday and Saturday.
Reading Royals (18-21-7-1, 44pts, 5th Place)
The Royals would win their only game of the week as they beat the Norfolk Admirals 2-1 on Saturday. Matt Miller now has five goals in his last six games. Vinnie Purpura would make 34 saves for his first win in over a month. Reading will get back to a busy schedule as they will play the Kalamazoo Wings on Wednesday and the Fort Wayne Komets on Friday and Saturday before finishing the week against the Wheeling Nailers.
Maine Mariners (17-27-3-0, 37pts, 6th Place)
The Maine Mariners would head out West to play the Rapid City Rush in a three-game series in which they would get swept. On Friday, it would be the first time since October 27th that Maine would be shutout. It’s been a tough go of things for the Mariners as they’ve lost nine of their last 10 games. It’s been especially rough for the Mariners in games outside of their division, as they are 2-8-1 in non-divisional games this year. Maine also had a busy week off the ice, acquiring forwards Linus Hemstrom and Jackson Stewart from the Bloomington Bison.

Adirondack Thunder (16-28-2-1, 35pts 7th Place)
It was another winless week as the Thunder now have their second eight-game losing streak of the season and have now lost 10 straight games to the Lions. Jackson van de Leest and Ryan Nolan each picked up their first career goals in the last week. The Thunder, who have the worst PK at home (64.6%), would allow a season-high four PP goals to the Lions on Sunday. Things don’t get easier for the Thunder as they head to Trois-Rivieres for three more games against the Lions next weekend.
