ECHL: Orlando Solar Bears Add Forward to Lineup

The Orlando Solar Bears have announced that forward Jarrett Lee has agreed to terms on an ECHL Standard Player Contract for the 2024-25 season.

Before launching his professional hockey career, Lee played collegiate hockey at three institutions: Northern Michigan University (2018-2020), the University of Minnesota-Duluth (2020-2022), and the University of St. Thomas (2022-2023). During his two seasons at Northern Michigan, he participated in 45 games, scoring two goals and providing four assists for a total of six points. Following that, he joined the Green Bay Gamblers, where he played 19 games and recorded eight goals and 18 assists, resulting in 26 points. Prior to his time at Northern Michigan, Lee played for the Minnesota Magicians in the NAHL. Over two seasons with the Magicians, he accumulated 16 goals and 31 assists, totaling 47 points across 74 games.

Lee is set to begin his third season in professional hockey as he joins the Solar Bears, following his time with the Wheeling Nailers and the Cincinnati Cyclones. He was initially traded to the Utah Grizzlies, then moved to Cincinnati to finalize a futures deal involving Adam Berg from 2023. In his second season with the Nailers, Lee recorded 15 points (3 goals, 12 assists). Throughout the 2023-24 season, he played in 58 games, accumulating 18 points (4 goals, 14 assists) and accumulating 20 penalty minutes.

Overall, Lee has played in 71 ECHL games across two seasons, totaling 26 points (6 goals, 20 assists).

The Solar Bears 2024-25 preseason roster now includes the following players: Forwards Jarrett Lee, Alex Frye, Tyler Bird, Brayden Low, Spencer Kersten, Tanner Schachle, Aaron Luchuk, Ryan Mahshie, Kohei Sato, Jesse Jacques; Defensemen Chandler Romeo, Robbie Stucker, Kurt Gosselin, Avery Winslow, Matt Stief, Wyatt Wilson, Jimmy Mazza, Ben Carroll and Goaltender Alexis Gravel.

The Solar Bears will kick off their season on the road against the Greenville Swamp Rabbits on Friday, October 18th.
