ECHL: Orlando Solar Bears Sign Brayden Low

The Orlando Solar Bears announced this afternoon, August 4th, that they have signed forward Brayden Low for the 2023-24 season. Low grew up in Steveston, British Columbia, where he played locally with the Richmond Minor Hockey Association. Low has played 298 ECHL games between the Rapid City Rush, Quad City Mallards, Wichita Thunder, and Reading Royals. During Low’s five seasons in the ECHL, he has scored 158 points (71g-87a). Low scored seven points in the 17 Kelly Cup playoff games he has appeared in with the Reading Royals and Wichita Thunder. During the 2022-23 season, Low played for a hockey team in Hungry, Ferencvárosi TC, and another in Denmark, Aalborg Pirates. He scored four goals and three assists during his 20 games with the Aalborg Pirates and five goals and eight assists with Ferencvárosi TC.

Before the 6-foot-1 forward went professional, he gained a lot of experience playing in the Western Hockey League (WHL) for three seasons for the Everett Silvertips and five seasons for the Portland Winterhawks. Outside of playing hockey, Brayden Low is the founder of Minor League Madness, a popular hockey podcast. Since this will be his first time on the Orlando Solar Bears roster, I’m looking forward to seeing what Brayden Low can bring to the team this upcoming season.
