ECHL Roster Transactions: Cincinnati Cyclones | 12/26/2024

On Thursday, December 26th, 2024, the Cincinnati Cyclones (5-16-4) completed the following transactions ahead of Friday night’s game against the Wheeling Nailers at home. They are coming off a road series split against the Kalamazoo Wings this past weekend. Last week, the Cyclones had a packed schedule, playing two home games against the Iowa Heartlanders on Monday and Tuesday, followed by two road games in Kalamazoo on Friday and Saturday. They ended the week with a record of 2-1-1, earning five points in the standings, which included two wins in regulation and one loss in overtime. However, they still remain in last place in the Western Conference, trailing the Utah Grizzlies by three points, with a slim total of 14 points in the standings.

Vyacheslav Peksa, Goaltender

Vyacheslav Peksa, a 22-year-old goaltender, has had a rough start to the 2024-2025 season. With the Cincinnati Cyclones, he has recorded a save percentage of 0.865 and an average of 3.35 goals against per game, resulting in a 1-7-2 record over 11 games. Also, he has had limited ice time in the AHL with Toronto, where he’s suffered a 6.00 goals against average and a save percentage of 0.778 in a single game played, leading to his assignment back to Cincinnati earlier today.

Loaned to Iowa Wild (AHL)

Tristan Ashbrook, Forward

Ashbrook has been up and down from the AHL many times this season, seeing time with the Cleveland Monsters and Iowa Wild. With Cincinnati this season, he has scored five goals and five assists, putting up a -7 +/- stat through 15 games played.
