ECHL Transactions: Florida Everblades | 02/26/2024

The Florida Everblades made three roster moves on Monday. The Charlotte Checkers in the AHL recalled forward/defenseman Nathan Staois. The Syracuse Crunch of the AHL returned defenseman Cole Moberg from loan to the Everblades. Forward Kieran Craig signed a contract out of college.

22-year-old Nathan Staois has played 45 games for the Everblades, scoring nine goals and 12 assists. He started the year on defense, but Head Coach Brad Ralph moved him to wing in January. He joins the Checkers, who are battling for a playoff spot in the Atlantic Division. Staois started his professional career with the Utica Comets in the AHL in 2020, which marks his first return to the AHL. Staois has emerged as a solid winger with his speed and hockey sense. He is a tenacious forechecker who stymies the opposing team’s transition play.

I write for and photograph the Florida Everblades for ITR. I am a retiree that has turned my hobby of photography into a business. I currently live in Sarasota, Florida with my wife, Christy, but I'm originally from California. My previous career has taken me all over the US and the world and I definitely enjoy traveling. I've played hockey for over 30 years, learning as an adult, and love the game.
